Where is the chapel?
The Queen of Angels Chapel is located on the second floor of Queen of Angels Monastery. Please enter the monastery through the doors on the right, leading into Agatha Hall, rather than the staircase entrance, which will be locked. Once inside, greeters will guide you to the elevator and stairs on your right which will take you to the second floor. From there, continue through the double doors into the chapel.

Additionally, we will be holding a Holiday Food Drive for Misson Benedict food pantry. We will accept nonperishable food items at the door.

Food and drink are not permitted in the chapel. There is a drinking fountain downstairs available. If you need to, you may step out during the concert.

Maureen Briare, EdD, MA, RN, has a long and varied history as both a pastoral musician, and a registered nurse. She served as Director of Liturgical Music at the University of Portland from 2000-2020, and currently works as a nurse faculty educator at the University of Portland School of Nursing and Health Innovations. She has a passion for healing music, and plays a therapy harp in the classrooms, and in health clinic settings. Along with composing and leading liturgical music and song, the greatest gifts in her life are her husband, Tim, and their six children.

After eight years as a full-time ICU nurse, Hannah Hillebrand decided to pursue her passion and completed her master’s degree in cello performance with Hamilton Cheifetz at Portland State University in 2014. While pursuing her degree, she participated in masterclasses with artists such as the Takacs String Quartet, the Tokyo String Quartet and cellists Johannes Moser and Alban Gerhardt. She continues to work part-time as a nurse while enjoying a busy freelancing schedule. She thrives on collaboration and enjoys working with artists of all varieties to present multi-disciplinary performances. She has a busy private teaching schedule with students of a wide variety of ages. Hannah is an avid traveler and photographer (www.alaskalightphotography.com) and her wildlife and landscape photography has been featured internationally.

Dr. Paul Klemme is presently in his twenty-eighth year as Artistic Director & Conductor of the Willamette Master Chorus. His full-time position is Director of Music Ministries at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem, where he conducts four choirs and serves as parish organist. He completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Washington and was a member of the Washington State University faculty from 1988-1997. He also served as conductor of the Washington Idaho Symphony Chorale in Pullman, Washington from 1990-1996 and the Spokane Symphony Chorale from 1997-1998. He is an Artist-Associate at Willamette University where he teaches organ. Dr. Klemme has sung in the all-professional Oregon Bach Festival Chorus in Eugene and Cantores in Ecclesia in Portland.
