Program Support
Mission Benedict
Located on the peaceful Queen of Angels Monastery campus in Mt. Angel, Mission Benedict serves more than 2,000 people needing food or other urgent assistance annually. Volunteers gather weekly to unload, sort and organize food, help participants “shop” for food and provide additional support to visitors during open hours. In addition to weekly volunteers, episodic volunteers are also needed.
Food drive hosts are also always needed. Contact Heidi Frederick if you are interested in hosting a food drive at your school, work, church or neighborhood.
St. Joseph Family Shelter
Do you have or want experience supporting children and families in difficult circumstances? Do you have a life skill you would like to share with others? Reach out about volunteer opportunities at the shelter.
Adult Residential Services
Serving adults experiencing intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, Adult Residential Services often seeks volunteers who are willing to spend time with their residents. This can look like teaching a class, arts and crafts, or community outings.
Have Another Idea?
Do you have a skill or something else you would like to offer? Reach out to Heidi Frederick to explore additional opportunities for service.
Father Taaffe Homes and Pregnancy Support Services
Father Taaffe Homes and Pregnancy Support Services provides pregnant teens and young adults with a safe, stable and nurturing environment to call home. Volunteer opportunities include life skill classes/demonstrations and general support to those in the program.
Fostering Hope Initiative
Fostering Hope Initiative Community Health Workers assist with community health, residential and pregnancy support services along with resource navigation. They often need donations of items to distribute to the community or help with clothing drives, school supply drives and other drives throughout the year.
