Father Taaffe Homes and Pregnancy Support Services
The peaceful, family-like atmosphere provides nurturing homes and pregnancy support services for pregnant and parenting teens and young adults who say yes to life. Through both residential and community-based services, program participants gain knowledge and skills from prenatal care, to parenting, to running a household and creating healthy social connections for themselves and their babies.
All Father Taaffe programs include access to supportive services, including:
• Mission Benedict Food Pantry, St. Joseph Resource Center and Queen of Angels Community Garden in Mount Angel.
• Individualized support from a Community Health Worker (CHW) and Doula.
Ages 12 - 17
St. Gertrude Suite
A safe, nurturing, and fully staffed stable living environment with private bedrooms for youth ages 12–17.
Eligibility
- Must be currently pregnant, regardless of trimester, -OR- within the postpartum period (up to 24 months after delivery)
- Must be 12 through 26 years old at the time of admission
- Must be actively enrolled in the Father Taaffe Homes program
- Must agree to follow community living rules and safety expectations
- Is willing to live in a communal or supervised housing environment
- Is willing to maintain a substance-free lifestyle during stay Has maintained 30 consecutive days of sobriety from drugs and alcohol prior to entry (exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Program Director)
Ages 18-26
St. Brigid & St. Teresa Homes
Welcoming, supportive homes with private bedrooms in a shared living environment designed to build life skills, peer connection, and family well‐being for ages 18-26.
Exclusions
- Individuals outside the age range
- Individuals not actively participating in the FTH program
- Individuals who refuse or violate safety requirements
- Individuals requiring a level of care beyond what the housing setting can safely provide.

St. Joseph Family Shelter
St. Joseph Family Shelter
The St. Joseph Family Shelter (SJFS) program provides an array of services including temporary housing and comprehensive support services for up to six families at a time. SJFS Families have access to a range of on-site services, including the Mission Benedict Food Pantry, St. Joseph’s Resource Center, Queen of Angels Community Garden, and more.
As part of the Child, Youth, and Family Services (CYFS) St. Joseph continuum of care, the goal of this program is not only to meet families’ immediate housing needs, but also to promote long-term stability and wellness through personalized, trauma-informed support.
