The CCS wellness committee continues to look for new ways to support a healthy workplace, healthy workforce, healthy customers and a healthy community. An organization-wide wellness survey provided great feedback about how to move forward and topics for discussion.
At a Brown Bag Lunch on March 7, the committee hosted a lively conversation on the proposed non-smoking work day policy and smoking cessation resources to meet employee needs. The discussion was so informative that the team decided to schedule ongoing workgroup discussions with every employee team during the coming months to hear more and fine tune the roll out of this proposed policy for the organization. In the meantime, please mark your calendars for the next Culture of Wellness Brown Bag Lunch on April 11th which will be a pot luck using recipes from the Blue Zones Project.
Welcome new committee members: Jane Murphy of the Quality Department, Jamye Garren of the Integrated Services Network and Anita Crenshaw of the Community Counseling Center. New committee members are always welcome. If you’d like to join the team, please contact [email protected] for more information.
