a place of Faith, Hope and Kinship
CCS and the Benedictine Sisters of Mt. Angel have collaborated to help individuals and families in need since 2017. This collaboration, along with the strong support of our donors, resulted in the 2023 sale and transfer of the Queen of Angels Monastery, the historic home of the sisters, to the care and ownership of CCS. The monastery grounds comprise 30 acres with existing structures that present an invaluable framework to create an environment of hope and healing for those served by CCS. Three core youth and family ministries of Catholic Community Services will soon move to the monastery campus.
A ministry founded by the Benedictine Sisters, St. Joseph TLC is a place where families experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental illness and other forms of adversity can stabilize, learn new skills and overcome barriers to stable housing.
Also founded by the sisters, Mission Benedict will move from its current location across Main Street to the monastery’s former “carpentry shop.” Once moved, the ministry plans to offer expanded services such as system navigation and emergency assistance.
