No two days in the life of Human Resources Executive Coordinator Helena Jones are ever the same. “I enjoy being challenged, always learning, and kept on my toes,” says Helena. “I often get to see the tangible difference our work in HR makes in our employees’ day.”
Helena has been with CCS for two years and loves getting to know each person she meets. “I make it my mission to remember everyone I meet, including their names,” says Helena, “I think remembering names is important and can make a big difference in someone’s day and the culture of a community.”
When Helena was looking for her first steps into a career, her main criteria was finding a place that makes a tangible difference in the community. “I truly believe in CCS’s mission and vision for Salem and the Mid-Willamette Valley and want to see CCS live that mission and vision out to the best of our ability,” she says.
Helena’s dedication recently led her to pursue certification from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Helena studied for, took the test, and passed her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) exam. Earning this certification is a big step in the HR world and will provide value to CCS and Helena for years to come.
“Helena is truly a great fit here at CCS. We value her spirit, her professionalism, her faith, and empathy every day,” says Marsha Clark, Chief HR Officer for CCS. “She genuinely cares about every one of our employees she encounters, whether in person, virtually, or via email.”
When Helena isn’t working, you can find her quilting blankets or training for her first-ever 50K race.
