Even during an unprecedented time of crisis, with widespread health concerns due to COVID, volunteers remain a vital part of CCS and a blessing to those we serve.
“CCS volunteers heard the call, rose to the occasion, and astonished us with an amazing number of hours dedicated to our programs and services,” said Volunteer Services Coordinator Heidi Frederick.
“Their service demonstrates the depth of our community’s commitment to our mission.”
One of the biggest volunteer projects last year included contributions of hand sewn protective masks that were distributed throughout all our programs. A total of 1,315 handmade masks were donated to CCS. Many other donations are provided to CCS that are not tracked – so that number may be considerably higher.
Every request that was presented to our volunteers was fulfilled, from helping with outreach to filling Christmas food boxes.
“We are so grateful to these dedicated, caring and giving individuals,” said Heidi. “They provide CCS with hours of service and support to keep us and those we serve flourishing.”
