“Our Direct Support Professionals are amazing,” says Chief Operations Officer Kyle Deets. “They work around the clock serving individuals living in our community homes and ensuring their needs are being met.” One such DSP is Angelina Ramos, who has been working as a DSP with CCS since 2017. At the Summerwood residential home where Angelina is currently stationed, she serves as a dedicated team member who is always willing to cover shifts and help other homes that are experiencing staffing shortages.
Angelina’s optimism and positivity are a light in the homes, and she helps to bring joy to those we serve and to her co-workers. “Angelina’s work ethic is an inspiration,” says Adult Residential Coordinator Amy Formiller. “She goes above and beyond, especially with COVID.”
“I do not believe it is hard work since helping our customers is satisfying,” says Angelina. When reflecting on who has inspired her, Angelina says, “My role model was my mother. She taught me to work hard, help people, be kind to people, respect others and to work hard for what I want. My mother also taught me how to cook!”
