Our first ever virtual event on June 14 was a success thanks to the partnership of St. Mary Parish in Mount Angel, the Benedictine Sisters and all the donors who gave before, during and after the event. The St. Joseph the Worker Virtual Event featured music from the Severin Sisters, inspirational messages from the Shelter families, from Shelter Supervisor Kimberla Weaver and Honorary Chair Sr. Dorothy Jean Beyer. The event was hosted by Fr. Philip Waibel and Josh Graves. With the help of major gifts from Exchange Club, Epping Family Foundation and Richard and Joanna Kreitzberg, we exceeded our goal and raised more than $80,000 for all the programs on the St. Joseph campus including St. Joseph Transitional Living Community, Mission Benedict and Casa Adele.
The Shelter and Mission Benedict continue to respond to emergency needs throughout the summer and fall and more help is still needed.
