Dear CCS, CCSF, and ISN Staff
As you know, we care for many individuals who have fragile health, and because of this we have been monitoring the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) closely. For now, the risk level within the United States appears to be lower than in other countries, but new cases are beginning to be reported every day. While no cases have yet to our knowledge affected our CCS community, the situation is rapidly evolving.
The executive team is planning what we will do in the event of a serious outbreak in Oregon. This includes various changes to our standard practices including exploring alternate ways to deliver some services remotely, and ceasing day support activities for our adults with disabilities in order to minimize potential exposure. We will coordinate our efforts with county health departments to get the latest in-depth guidance and information. Our officers, program directors and supervisors will notify staff if and when any changes in standard procedures for the programs are required.
as a proactive measure, supervisors please make sure hand sanitizers are available to both visitors and staff and post the attached posters in all of our locations. Additionally, please ensure staff are regularly washing their hands, using gloves when and where indicated and taking measures to promote the health and safety for all employees and those we serve.
Thank you for your support in keeping our CCS family safe and healthy.
