CCSF Board member, Norma Jean, is dedicated to the mission of serving families and children in need. “I have a soft spot in my heart for helping people,” she said. She got involved in CCS in 1996 through her acquaintance with Jim Seymour while they were in Bible study. Appointed to the Board in 2004, Norma feels that her personal experience with having an alcoholic father gives her a special compassion towards families in crisis.
Aside from her commitment to CCS, Norma works on the farm she and her husband started in 1958. “We were fortunate to work together,” said Norma. Fordyce Farms produces acres of blueberries, strawberries and corn in East Salem. When asked to tell one thing not many would guess about her she said, “I like to drive farm equipment.”
