Father Taaffe Homes and Pregnancy Support Services is a welcoming, comforting home for pregnant and parenting moms who say yes to life. This program is for young moms in crisis who don’t need foster care but do need support to deliver a full-term healthy baby and to nurture that child once born. All services and supports inspire self-confidence, independence, and hope in the future. Nationally accredited by the Council of Accreditation and operated by Catholic Community Services, Fr. Taaffe Homes provides young women, ages 12 to 20, a safe and nurturing environment from which to build their futures.

FAQ
Where would i live?

On the Queen of Angels property there is a home that is able to sleep up to four individuals. With a full sized kitchen, bathroom and living room there is lots of space for each volunteer to feel at home. The Queen of Angels property is also stunning with its many walking paths, proximity to town and onsite gardens.

Will I have time off?

We encourage each of our volunteers to take days off individually and as a group to rest and explore the beautiful state of Oregon.

What would my day to day look like?
  • House Coverage – On-duty support for staff and management of home, be present in community space and build and support healthy relationships within the home
  • Child Care – Provide moms an opportunity to attend group counseling, programming, etc. Care for a baby age 6 weeks-12 months
  • Facilities Volunteer – Help with upkeep of the home inside and outside.
  • Support: Support pregnant and parenting moms navigate their new life by teaching them how to cook, clean and care for themselves and their baby.
How often will I be volunteering each week?

As a volunteer we are hoping each indivdual is able to volunteer 20 – 40 hours of week.
