The United Way Campaign Committee has an exciting line up of employee events planned this year! This year will feature brand new events, like a plant sale and a salad competition along with some classics like the Souper Social and the Basket Blowout. Our first event of the year will be our Bake Sale on Monday, March 19th. Stop by and treat yourself to some homemade baked goods and bring treats for sharing. Spend all weekend whipping up your confectionery concoction and enter it in the cake competition. The categories this year are “All Things Spring,” “Pinterest Fail,” “Let the Games Begin,” “The Oscar Goes to…” and “Director and Officer Look-Alike.”
For “All Things Spring,” let the season be your inspiration. For “Let the Games Begin” category, bring a cake that reminds you of your favorite board game. It can look like a game board or game piece, get creative! Our last new category is “Director or Officer Look-Alike.” Let your program director inspire you! Whether they love coffee, glitter or flowers, put it on a cake and see if your fellow colleagues can figure out who was your muse!
A few of the popular categories are back again this year like our “Pinterest Fail” category and “The Oscar Goes to…” category. Folks who enter their cake for the “Pinterest Fail” category are asked to bring a Pinterest photo of your cake inspiration.
