September was a month of abundance and service at the monastery. The grounds received care and attention through several projects: “Lumberjack” CEO Josh led the tree cleanup, while George Fox University students spent a serve day weeding the grounds.
Additionally, the sisters’ abundant orchard was so plentiful, staff were invited to enjoy its bounty, and later in September, 35 seminarians from Mt. Angel Abbey walked down the road and harvested an incredible 1,245 pounds of fruit. With the partnership of Salem Harvest, this fresh fruit nourished many in our community.
