Queen of Angels Monastery has been entrusted to Catholic Community Services by the Benedictine Sisters of Mt. Angel. CCS is now responsible for the monastery’s perpetual care encompassing the building, grounds, and the legacy ministries that will reside there serving our most vulnerable neighbors. Recognizing the importance of building a strong foundation for sustainable funding to preserve the monastery as a place of peace, prayer and healing, CCS and the Benedictine Sisters have established the Queen of Angels Monastery Endowment Fund. Please consider gifts to the endowment through estate planning and IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions.

Campaign Co-Chairs Sr. Dorothy Jean Beyer and Fr. Philip Waibel, together with a passionate group of community leaders including oblates of the sisters and other long-time supporters have agreed to oversee engagement and champion the success of the campaign.

“We have much work to do to preserve both the CCS ministries at the monastery and the sisters’ legacy of service,” said Fr. Philip. “We seek not only to preserve the building, but also to preserve explicitly the story and memory of the Benedictine Sisters. Their story gives meaning and context to the buildings that the structures alone do not otherwise have.”

In addition to one-time and planned gifts to the endowment, the Engagement Committee is currently outlining additional ways to support the effort, which is aptly named the Appeal of Angels. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to come for a visit and tour of new developments at the monastery. Contact Mona Hayes [email protected] to learn more.
