For nearly 30 years, Lee and Lynda Harrington have been a powerhouse duo at Catholic Community Services (CCS). Lynda has been involved with the CCS Foundation Board, leading key committees like chairing the Legislative Action & Development Committee, the Monastery Acquisition Committee and the Monastery Endowment Fund. Through these committees she is always bringing her faith into action. She lives by her favorite (Matthew 25:40): “Whatever you did to one of the least of these brothers and sisters, you did for me.”
Lee spent much of his career as CCS’s Chief Medical Officer, helping launch the Fostering Hope Initiative and mentoring young professionals along the way. Lee tries to live by the quote attributed to St. Frances of Assissi: “Preach the Gospel at all times; when necessary, use words.”
Together, Lee and Lynda have supported the Father Taaffe homes, even opening their own doors when needed. Their involvement with the ASK Event stands as a favorite memory and a testament to their shared mission where they love seeing a room packed full of community members who believe in the CCS mission just as much as they do. Lynda says volunteering helps her stay connected to what truly matters. “It’s easy to stay in our bubble.” she says, “but serving others is so much more fulfilling.” Lee adds that giving back is part of his faith and he reminds others that you always get more than you give.
Whether it’s fundraising, mentoring, or simply showing kindness, the two of them are constantly making an impact. They balance their busy lives with hiking, biking, and spending time at Black Butte Ranch with their kids and grandkids. Thank you, Lee and Lynda, for your incredible support!
